Head Coach - Dana Hooper
Dana is the Director of Glass City and loves to coach
players at the youngest ages. She
brings over 38 years of experience in the sport, and will
provide a fun, educational experience for you daughter. |

8-1 Asst. Coach- Lindsey Gryca
This is Lindsey's first official year on the coaching
staff even though she has helped out with various teams
and clinics. Lindsey will continue her education next
fall in Early Childhood Education, and is a wonderful
addition to this team

10-1 Jessica McClure-Weis
Jessica just completed the High School season as the
Varsity coach at Sylvania Southview. She has been
coaching for 10 years, and brings not only the coaching
experience but many years of playing as well. Jessica's
enthusiasm is contagious and we are excited to have her
on the Glass City staff.

Kristen will be returning to Glass City for her 5th
year. She is the freshman coach at Clay High School.
She was a past setter at Owens Community College and
played at Glass City through her High School years. Her
small but mighty personality will be a huge asset to her
team.

Jeff returns to Glass City for his 10th year as a Head
coach. He is currently the Varsity Assistant at
Northwood High School. Jeff has been a parent of a club
volleyball player and understands the game from many
perspectives. He and his wife, Pam love to have fun
with the team- and the players will be much better for
their experience.

11-1 Asst.
Coach-Erin Appelhans-
Erin coaches with her father, and this combination works
the girls very hard! This will be Erin's 9th year at
Glass City- as player and coach- She has also coached
At Rossford High School and Northwood High School.

12-1 Head Coach- Rick Gerken
Rick enters his eighth year coaching for Glass City, and
is currently the freshman coach at Sylvania Northview
High School. All total he has over 17 years coaching
experience. He would be described as a quiet leader who
sets high expectations for his players.

12-1 Assistant Coach- Shawn Gerken
Shawn begins her 3rd year of coaching, and is a former
Glass City player. She is a determined young leader
with the advantage of having played the game herself for
over 8 years.

Most recently, Ramona was the 8th grade coach at McCord
Junior High School. She brings over 25 years coaching
experience to her team. Her smile and positive attitude
is contagious, and she will improve her players skills.
She has coached at a variety of levels and leagues. She
will be back to Glass City for her 3rd year.

Dana Hooper
Dana brings over 38 years of experience to her teams.
She is the former varsity coach from St. Ursula and
Cardinal Stritch High Schools. She has earned District
and Regional coach of the year honors. Her passion for
the game will help guide these players to love the sport
even more and improve with her determined expectations.

Co-Coach
Dave Conley
Dave is the current varsity coach at Toledo Christian,
where he is in his 6th season, and teaches there as
well. He has previously played Intramural and Club
volleyball for 15 years and brings to this team over 16
years of experience to the team. He is very
knowledgeable about the techniques needed to be
successful, and will work hard to push this team to
accomplish goals and improve.

13-2 Megan Cherry
Megan comes back to the Toledo area and is the current
freshman coach at Toledo Central Catholic. Megan has
previously coached the 13-1 team for the north Columbus
Volleyball Club, and played collegiately at Ohio
Dominican for four years. Megan is also a former Glass
City player, and is a hard-working, intense coach who
will only expect the best from her team.

13-3 Dennis Rains
A coach of
different sports, Dennis brings nineteen years of coaching
experience to the 13-3 team. Most recently Dennis was with
the Oregon YMCA program where he coached a varied number of
age teams. Dennis has a firm but friendly approach with his
teams, and we are very glad he is here.

13-4 Nicole Guthrie
Nicole returns to Glass
City for her 5th year.
She is the current freshman coach at Fremont Ross
High School, where she is
a guidance and counselor in the elementary school.
Nicole brings over fifteen years experience as a player as
well.

14-1 Lime-
Head Coach Tony Geer
Tony is currently the varsity coach at Sylvania
Northview High School. He is a CAP II certified coach
with over 18 years coaching experience including the
Ohio Valley High Performance program and Tiffin
University. Tony will prepare this team to perform at
the next level. His combination of intensity and
knowledge can be intimidating, but inside- he is a teddy
bear.

14-1 Lime Assistant Coach- Erin Reynolds
Erin returns for her 2nd year with Glass City, and has
just completed her 1st season as the 7th grade coach at
McCord Junior High School. Erin played for the Wooster
Elite Volleyball Club and her High School career at
Loudonville High School. She is a quick study and will
make a great assistant for this team.

Coach - Eric Fallis
Eric brings over 16 years of coaching experience to this
team. He is currently the varsity assistant at Sylvania
Northview High School, and enters his 6th year with Glass
City. Eric is also a High School Volleyball official, and
formerly the Junior Varsity coach at Start High School.
Eric's personality and knowledge will help to guide this
team to a wonderful season. |

14-1 Assistant Coach - Julie Stewart
Julie has moved to the Toledo area from Sydney, Ohio to
complete her Masters degree. She has formerly coached
for Atlantis Volleyball Club, and has played High School
volleyball at ANNA High School and four years of club
volleyball.
Julie is a very welcomed addition to this team and Glass
City.

14-2 Kelly Birr
Glass City welcomes Kelly back to the Club- a former
Glass City coach and player- she now brings over 16
years coaching experience to her team. She is currently
the varsity coach at Ottawa Hills High School, where she
just completed her 5th year. Previously she coached at
both Notre Dame High School and Maumee High School.
Kelly, a former player at Central Catholic and the
University of Findlay will be a very positive influence
with her team.

year. She is the freshman coach at Clay High School.

Bradford
This will be her 1st year with
Glass City, but has over 10 years experience in
coaching. She was formerly the women's assistant
basketball coach at The University of Toledo, and is the
current Varsity coach at Toledo Christian. Tandy is a
former USVBA volleyball player and played collegiately
at Highland Community College.

14 Early Bird John Stover
John is the current Varsity coach at Northwood High School,
having just completed his 3rd year. He is back to Glass
City for his 7th season. John has over 20 years of
experience involved in the sport, including player, parent
and coach. He will help to prepare his players to get ready
for High School, and at the same time develop their life
skills as well.

Shelley returns to
Glass City for her 2nd year, last year being
the assistant on the 17-2 team. Shelley is the current
varsity assistant at
Cardinal Stritch High School.
She brings over 16 years experience to
Glass
City and is also the Coach/player of
the University
of
Toledo Women's Club team.

Kayla is back at
Glass City as an assistant coach for her 1st
year year. She formerly played at Glass CIty
for two years and played High School vollyball at Sylvania
Southview.

Beth will begin her 6th year with
Glass
City. she will bring to
her team over 20 years experience in the sport. She played
collegiately at Sienna Heights, and was a former varsity assistant at Britton High School.

16-1 Head Coach Steve Lotycz
Steve returns to
Glass City for hie 6th year, and
comprehensively over 20 years experience. He has coached at
a variety of High Schools-Gibsonburg, Old Fort and Lakota
most recently. He loves the game, and shares his passion
with his players every minute.

Neena returns to
Glass
City for her 3rd season.
Most recently she was the varsity assistant at Clay High School,
where she played her High School career.

High School, USA and Collegiate official.

brings over 7 years of playing to her team. She has coached

John is back to
Glass
City for his 4th year.
He is the current varsity coach at Cardinal Stritch
High School, and was
formerly a coach in the Whitmer system. He has played
volleyball for over 10 years and he has a unique passion for
the game that he shares with his players.

Tony Geer

Kathie returns to the Evergreen satellite program for
her 3rd year. She brings over 15 years experience in
the sport, and almost the same amount of years experience in
coaching.

12 Defiance Audrey Stambaugh
Audrey brings significant years of experience to her team
both as a coach and a collegiate player. She starts
her 1st year with the Defiance satellite
program, and will provide comprehensive instruction to her
team.

Schultz
Judith is the current junior varsity coach at Defiance High School.
She is also a former player and has previously served in
various capacities related to coaching the sport.

Brooke is the Defiance
satellite manager and is the current Varsity coach at
Defiance
High School. She
begins her 2nd year with
Glass
City and has six years
experience as a player herself.

Brunner
Keith brings over 14 years experience in coaching
to his team from Pettisville High School. He is also a current
OHSAA volleyball official.

Hubby
Lora brings not only coaching but also collegiate
playing experience to her team. She was the former
Varsity coach at Clovis
Christian
School
in New Mexico.
Altogether Lora has been involved in the sport for over
twenty years.
